So i'm doing a freelance job for a client creating 3-d chat area (sorta like the sims) which is going to be shockwave on his site. Now this is my first real cg job (i graduated in dec) so I don't know alot about the game type of production yet (I honestly don't know why i got hired for this job...but i'm not asking questions cause it pays well lol.) Anyways, I won't be able to contact my client for the next week and I wanna get a jump on the modeling while he's gone, but I don't know what type of poly count he wants for the environment. SO TO MY QUESTION!!! Can you guys give me a ballpark figure for what poly count I would be shooting around for this online shockwave type of project? Thanks for any help you could give!!
