View Full Version : question about modeling cars
Fall0ut 03-11-2005, 03:14 AM Do most of you here model the lights for high poly cars? Or do you use a texture to map them on?

we'll i'm not much of a poly modeler, but in nurbs i would have as much of the actual geometry match what i wanted as i could. So i would have the headlights in the actual geometry personally. But, i dont do much poly modeling. Especially for things like cars with such compound curvature.

So you do spline modeling?
I tried to do it once, but I failed.
Can you recommend any good tutorials for it?

if you are already familiar with NURBS modeling, then this is an excelent car tutorial

but if you are not familiar with it at all. I would do some basic things first. You know, learn to plot your curves, trim, etc etc^^. Hope this helps :)
