I'm done with cycles for awhile. This is only the running part, so the jump is still in progress. They should also be playable in Quicktime.

(Right click, save as)

I colored the right arm and leg blue so you can tell the difference in the side view.

Arrrrgh! Fudge......

If left clicking doesn't work try right clicking and 'save link as' or 'save target as'.

May have to wait a day. I'll bump up the post when it's working or if I get new hosting.

as you said jump needs work ... .

about running i think his not pushing himself as he should. the timing is very fast but his not doing what is needed to be run, somehow looks like his walking very fast, IMHO absolutely :)

You're right, it does look like a very fast walk. I think it's because I always kept a foot on the ground so he's not really pushing himself. Thanks for spotting that arona!

So how does this look?

well now his pushing himself :) but i think i found something else, probably it can change it a lot.
the contact pose, when the foot touchs the ground its not getting straight and that somehow makes him lame :) .

Ok, here's what I see going on right now, at the moment you have the back leg fully extended way to long, the legs during a run should never be fully extended for more than a frame, and as I go through this it looks like they are help extended for at least 4 frames... this gives the character the look as if his leg is being pulled or held on to by something... it's good to get the leg that full extension on take off, but what you need to do is the pull it back in, have it bend at the knee faster... and it won't look like it's lagging behind so much...

Now for the Jump... there are a few small things I would look at, his body looks a bit to bent forward for this jump and the angle he is going at, thing of a frog jumping or something along those lines, those animals usually look like an arrow when they jump shooting towards there target, where your guy right now looks like he should be going into a flip or something else... hope this helps :)
