Title: The Bean
Name: Cecil Hughes (c Sqaured)
Country: United States
Software: 3ds max

This is Bean. An Intergalactic Bounty Hunter. I recently got him finished with his gun. Posed him up, and thought I would show every one what I have been working on. This guy has got some big plans ahead. I'll keep ya updated.

the body is cool but i don't like very much the face of the character. Besides i think the color does not really fit with the rest. otherwise the render looks good

I like it! Seems like an interesting character. Good poses, too. I'd like to see it pushed a little more though. The things on the sides of his head and his gun both seem to need more work. I agree with destroyfred about the clashing character/costume.. Unless that's a really big thing which is important to the story of the character, I would try to change colors or at least desaturate it a bit. Looks very cool though. Good character appeal and a neat idea. :applause:

I have to agree that the face is not very good at all and it lets down the nice body you have on him.

So what is it about he face everyone dislikes? I'm not seeing what it is, most likely because I created and I have a differant perspective of it. I need to know what i should do about it. He's not meant to look like a scarey bad ass or anything, but a cute bad ass.

What should I do?

I dont know what everyone dislikes about the face, I think it looks just fine. The only thing that may be a problem is the color scheme. The green and bright red dont mesh that well. Maybe thats a bit distracting. I might do what blacker suggested and desaturate the suit a bit. Otherwise I love the character and pose. Keep up the good work!

Well I did make a change to the costume a little while back, but it happen after I had posted the current image. I made the red darker with no reflection, but more soft like it was something that could be used as a protective type suit. I voted for "C"

Hmmm.. now I miss the reflections. :) I still think the face looks OK. I think people don't like how little detail or how soft it feels, but I think it's a nice contrast between the costume and the face. I think this looks good but it doesn't feel finished. It needs some insignias or something.. also, I'd like to see the colors flipped. Switch the red on the suit with the black.. Just an idea. I think it might look pretty good though.

Looking back I noticed the "black parts" were not black.. In any case, I'd still like to see them switched. ;)

Well I'm currently going back and making some modifications to his face. Adding more geometry, so when I redo his facial morphs I can get some really good expressions.

Good looking out Blacker.
