i've been asked to research availible mocap systems and their respective strengths, etc, and pricerange.
as is my habbit, i'll turn to the fine and helpful folks here at CG talk.

now, i have a decent space, max7, and a beefy machine.

just looking for opinions on systems available, ballpark pricerange, and what you guys that are into mocap like/dislike.

thanks in advance!

Maybe you could network with this guy? Seems a pretty esoteric nich at the moment.

heh, yeah, i saw that thread when i searched cgtalk before posting. :)

dosen't sound promising.. seriously, if i drop $80k on a system, they better send a guy to show me how to use it. ;)

i've found several companies/systems, was just looking for some user advice.

thanks!

Well I can't tell you much either. The order has been placed and paid for,
but the product has not been delivered. And yes, the guy is supposed to
come and show how it works.

I was thinking, however, to do some research and see if I
can learn the system before he comes. but seriously lacking information
on the net about this matter.

I don't have (yet) the manuals and the softwares (alias Mocap) to try it other
than bits and pieces of information but nothing heavy.

Well I guess I'd just have to wait for the system to arrive.

You should also look into Gypsy system, a very effective and cheap solution.

Go to www.metamotion.com (http://www.metamotion.com) for more info.

Good Luck.
