View Full Version : Colour Correcting Workflow (before/after edit?)

Hi, I was just wondering if it generally better to do colour correcting/grading before or after editing?
Im planning to edit in vegas, though I'm not sure how the colour correcting tools are in vegas so if need be I'll use AE for that. But not sure if I should process all the footage in AE before I edit it together or after. Any advice appreciated.

After the edit - definately....

Otherwise you'll be processing 10x the amount of info that you actually need....

hi before is out of question becoz u will be wasting lotz of time and energy on unwanted shots .

Thanks for the replies guys. I just thought that if using different types of footage (which need different types of correction) it might be more difficult afterwards because I'd have to go through the final edit back and forwards... But what you said makes sense, so I will try that way. Thanks again
