I just switched to Softimage XSi from 3DS Max4, and noticed something major. I loved using SOFT SELECTION in 3ds max for modelling, and now i cant find it or a substitute in softimage, please help me with your brilliant knowledge!

in xsi it is call proportional, there is a button under the STR panel, LMB on to activate, MMB to get the options

Controls how neighboring points are affected when moving a nearby point.
RMB to get the options.

If you want to adjust the falloff distance without bringing up the options page then just hold down r while the tool is active and drag the mouse.
