I did this one in august last year, I've just never pulled myself together to post it before now. It's created in Photoshop with a Wacom Graphire2.

I wanted to make something look as real as I could and this is my second try... The first one was a landscape so this has been quite a challenge to me.

The thing I found most difficult was to find a proper skinn color and get the facial shadows right...

I'm pretty satisfied with the final result as this is my first portrait, so I would like to hear the opinion of some more experienced 2d artists.

Comments and critiques are most welcome, and I'm working on my english as well ;)

I love her expression. The skin tone on her shoulder is particularly well-executed...though it looks like she's wearing quite a bit of makeup, making her face look a little flat (compared to the rest of the flesh tones). The hair just above her breast looks a little strange too. The freckle is a nice touch. Keep in mind that this is just the opinion of someone without much experience.

Her skin tone is amazing. But I think eye brows, eye lashes and hair need a little more attention.

This is very pretty altogether ^^ I just have a little critique: Her eyes don't look realistic enough. The shapes are perfect, but the iris, the pupils and the 2 white highlights look very flat; I'd suggest to make the highlights a bit smaller and more "random", but not too hard and not too soft. Plus, I'd also add a bit highlights (only very subtle, not as strong as the white one) to the bottom of her iris.
And the edges of the iris are a bit too sharp/clear, I think.
but very pretty, however. :applause:
