Wow, this is great! I'm really enjoying your Monkey King series. :applause:
It's a pet favourite of mine to see thematic variations of a character, I always get a big buzz out of that! :D

Regrettably I don't really know much about the monkey king character myself, but you've really piqued my interest and I'm definetely going to have to google him up later !

The branches framing the image really sets the composition, and that monkey king has a very wise and mystical air to him.

this is a really great piece!...i especially like the way you've created the plantilfe, it really makes this scene take on a surreal look... and yes the figure is horribly disturbing - as if it were taken straight from a nightmare or something :-)
