Looks good. No wrongs I see, but the model would be more delicacy. It's massive. And if it will be a spider he should have more legs... twice more :) or two more, I can't remmember.
Take care.

I'd maybe add a bit more to the legs. Some detail like pistons or something to give an indication on how they move. Right now I can see where they rotate and pivot but not how.
Just a thought.
I'd like to see this when it's textured.

to avoid any glitches, try removing the interpentetrating mesh, for example the eyes going into the polies of the body. Try to cut the eyes so they are just above it, and not going thru it.

She seems rather vulnerable in the joint. :) maybe beef that joint?

Personally I'd add another leg to each side, and I agree with Omita that the joints would def. be a weak point on this thing. I like the idea though, keep it up.

Actualy there is just a minor thing. The Antenna on the thing seem a bit dence with the little reciever at the top. You might be able to get away with it being a solid squareish surface with no defenition and just let the textures do the finner detail work for you. But thats being REALY nit-picky. Good job.

Hmm.. too clean. Nice dirt but give it more scraches, in place when plates are connection, make some "fray edges". This place shall looks good if there will be some poor metal, metal with native color, some grey. But of course all texture depends of the finally idea, and how this model should look at the end.

This guy looks interesting, but he really needs feet.
Putting however many tons he ways onto 4 points the size of a match book is going to damage whatever he is walking on and wind up sending the legs through whatever he is walking on.
Some sort of foot could also be articulated for gripping, if he is supposed to climb things.
