View Full Version : Old Man - Character for upcoming short
mikkamakka 03-08-2005, 11:04 AM Hi!
This is my first thread. I'am working on a short film, this is one of the main characters. I didn't wanted to go in the detail at the body area, he will have some cloth on anyway. I tried to keep the overall shapes simple too. I forgot to post a wire, but i'll do that next time. I got some problems with the envelopes, in the shoulder area as usual, but i try to fix that. If you got any suggestions please tell...
c&c are welcome! Thanks a lot! :)

Good work! I like his face. Maybe you could round out the knee area a bit, and the toes could be bigger, but as you said he'll have clothes on, so it doesn't really matter. :)

Face could use some work. Change the nose lips and chin. Maybe address the tops of the eyes. I also think the legs are to long and could be skinnier, more stylized to your character with knobby knee's and tiny ankles.

Hi!
I worked with the UVs on the weekend. I still need to adjust the specular, and the bump map a bit, but i'm pretty happy with the results at this stage. The final character will have hair and cloth applied, so you won't see most of the textures. Wich i wanted to keep simple. And failed. :hmm:
C&c are most welcome.

Great progress! The specular maps do need some work, but i like the overall textures very much! Good work. I like the funny pose too.
