@DXtreme

its was very difficuled to find enough references
about this bike.
Use www.google.com and keyword "Honda NAS" and you will find something.

I have seen this bike in a german bike magazin and i thought "i must build this bike" and so i search the web over 2 weeks for more pics. At the end i have 30 pics now.

@HellRender
Yes it isnīt a muscle bike itīs a show bike.I i think to much power isnīt good for a bike, look at the Attachment :beer:

@prayas

hmmm. nice nice. Motorbikes are not so easy like cars. Coz U see all that litle details!
But there are also some cars where U see it...However.

The Bike looks cool. I guess it's only a racing bike. For long distance it's maybe to heavy...I mean look the big fuel-tank (ehh U know...) and the low seat...oh hehe ;)

I drive a naked kawa ;)
But no it's almost winter...
Can't wait until next year ... hehe

Boys...MOTORBIKES RULEZ! :beer:

Yeah...it's dangerous but rulez :applause:

No crit about the bike, may I could write some crit if U post a pic of the real mashine? :)

...looks like one of that "street fighter bikes" ;)
WOW. That Shock Absorber is killer...WOW very big.
They look very expensive.

Also the brakes are cool...hehe

Nice bike. But it never would get a street license :p

If U finished it...don't forget to make a sexy woman :)

Than U can play with the bike...Vrommm...Oh shit the police...Wheelie...150km/h...vrOOMMMMMmmmm....
Yeah a anim would be very cool.

I modeled a Honda VTR1000 SP1 but it was no way near as detailed as this.

Both the real bike and your model are gorgeous.

Keep up the good work!

I can't wait to see this finished!

Raphael
10-12-2002, 09:38 PM
so i have finished some little parts at front part of the bike.

http://www.nobody-clan.de/zeuch/illum20c.jpg

:hmm: I believe I must the carburetors insert. The carburetors is a very difficult part but the hole is too big.

Raphael
10-16-2002, 09:23 PM
Here are new parts f?r my bike, the footrests (Is this the correct english word)
I have try too test some textures also but the are simply so far.

I dig how you have captured all the details so well. I'm building a chopper bike but haven't reached your level of detail yet. Did you get it all from that one pic or did you get other reference material? I've got a few chopper mags that I'm referring to but am still having trouble getting the super small details right.

/me is not a bike fan but this looks pretty good to me and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it. I know that programmes don't count for much but I'm also pleased that this is yet another example of showing that C4D is not the poor relation that some would make it out to be. :)

I am absolutly stunned by your bike! I have rarely seen any cg work that was really this detailed. You gots skillz! It must of taken forever to model every little individual part, something I probably wouldn't do. Very great model! I love it!

Raphael
12-20-2002, 02:13 PM
Hello again,

I now began to make some textur for my bike and i can need criticism. It´s hard for me to create good texture, because i dosn´t make it before.

http://hermes2.tc-mw.de/zeuch/TexturTestB.jpg

there are 2 arealights ( One keylight and one filllight) and a sphere for reflections.

cool work tho, well done.

Hmmm...here's where you need mental ray...
Great model though.....i love your level of detail.:thumbsup:

ThirdEye
12-20-2002, 03:37 PM
You don't need Mental Ray at all, learn to use C4D hdri and add shadows to your lights. Try using SLA danel for paint, you're on the right way. Look at these C4D render, you'll understand that you don't need Mental Ray AT ALL.

How did I miss this amazing work, really quite the detailed model, the engine detail, everything... damn you put some thought and time into this.

Keep it up!

oops I don't see any shadows,, :shame:

hehehe

Raphael
12-20-2002, 10:43 PM
Hi,

hmm... no criticism and i see so many mistakes, but i donīt no how can i make it right.:hmm:

@EighthDecay
Yes there is no shadow. Itīs only a simply scene for some tests.

@skello
I donīt need Mental Ray i have Cinema 4D :p It doesnīt have hdri support but you can fake it very good. Take a look at this link HDRI with Cinema 4D (http://www.rain.org/~msavard/hdri/Articles/UsingHDRIs.html)

@All
And another question. How is my englich, is it understandably? I think itīs funny :D

dont worry about your english man its understandable

besides those of us that speak the language only bastardize it anyway;)

btw.... nice bike!

but textures definately need work they look really really clean

for the metals i suggest a low diffuse and use the spec for the colour :shrug:
model looks great though what do you see thats wrong with it?

hallo and good news for me :beer:

the first part is finished no more points and polygons. 75.000 points and polygons and a new mouse later the bike is finished
so far.
http://hermes2.tc-mw.de/zeuch/illum29d2.jpg

it is your last chance to make some critiques. Please take a last accurate view at the bike an told me every little mistake.
I found one at the front wheel near the axis, i will change it immediatly. :hmm:

Now i close Cinema4D and start photoshop to make some textures.

01-09-2003, 10:51 PM

At first many thanks to all the posters.:applause:
Had i say it or not. but so i say it again:
This is my FIRST great project i have only modeled little things before an i don´t finished anyone. And than only good critiques from your site, it´s unbelievably for me :eek:

@cuse and Sez
there is a big version in work 1600*1200 i hope it´s big enough and my pc can handle this big thing.

@xasteycracker
yes it´s radiosity but not the normal mode. I use, in german it´s called "Stochastischer Modus" he´s good for b/W images and faster in this case and you have the film grain look.

@EighthDecay
I hope i can make textures so good as the model part

@Peoples
i will try to write a little tutorial. I have found a treath here on cgtalk about modeling tyres it was nearly the same.
It was about model a tyre for a car. use the search function and i hope you can find it.
here is the link:

So iīm back again

here is a little picture from the bike. I try to find the right setup for the texture. I hope that iīm on the right way.

There are some parts without any texture.

Raphael
02-12-2003, 11:17 PM
So here is my last post with a picture. the next post will be in the finished work section.

I hope somebody find some little thing that I can make better.

http://hermes2.tc-mw.de/zeuch/HondaAlpha.jpg

The texture of the exhaus-system is already changed, but iīm to lazy to render the bike again.

I will render the big in a bigger resolution and some other little changes to make the look a bit better. This can take a long time for me little PC :hmm:

If I can give you my simple opinion you made an incredible modeling job but you haven't exploited the C4D renderer possibilities at all. :hmm: Post this beast in the C4D forum for help, i'm sure this will turn in an incredible work ;)

I know it is your opinion but i think the model looks good and the render looks almost perfect. It is hard to beleive that you can still get a better render in C4D. you have to show me.
but the model still looks great.
