Hello all,
This is the first artwork I have posted here. One of the reasons I wanted to get into 3D graphics was to somehow immortalise one of my favourite possessions; my lovely Roland Juno-106 vintage synthesizer (circa 1984).
And here it is! All work was done in Blender, textures created by hand with GIMP based on photographs of the actual panels. The underlying surface, end panels, keyboard and bender unit are at a false angle as the main panel rests adjacent to the X and Y axes; this makes it easier to throw the sliders around for future rendering.
This is currently a work-in-progress but I would appreciate any critique.
Things still to do:
* Round off the end panels ever so slightly.
* Adjust lighting to allow for more realistic shadows.
* Create a proper recess for the bender lever; this is currently faked by the texture.
* Show the synth switched on, light up some LEDs and the patch display.
* Move the sliders to portray an actual patch (one of my fave sounds).
Cheers.
