I modeled this feller over Christmas break and just recently got around to start texturing him. It's an ork but I wanted to do one for funsies *shrug*.

CLICK HERE (http://nlfw.stuffcorp.com/3d/warboss.html) to go to the warboss's webpage to see the entire shebang. NOTE latest pics aren't there.

Right now he's at 2272 triangles, and I'm planning on using 2 256 maps for the head and his jaw and power fist, a 512 for the rest of his body and 128 maps for his gun and axe each (so that I can use them separately for other projects)

any crits or comments are greatly appreciated, thanks for looking!

Hi man, nice work, what made me double take is I'm doing an orc for fun and the thumbs of the big green guy look the same, haha! Although you have a lot less seams than me!! It looks a bit weird without his jaw so I'll be waiting to see the jaw, I like how his ear is stapled on!!

Haha, saved from the bottom of page three....been busy...really! ;)

Thanks for the kind words Matias! Now that his jaw's there it makes a little more sense (some people thought I was making Yoda on steroids...d'oh). I looked up your webpage, you got some sweet 2d stuff there...alas no 3d (I wanna see yer ork!).

Alright, time for tea, later!

your warboss needs dirt, filth and grime in no particular order. Orks are dirty buggers. Great start, keep going.

I would argue that his metal jaw is a tad too big, theres nothing he could do to use it for anything so at that point its a heavy piece of head jewelry. Looks like it could even rotate right over his head. I think it would look better smaller.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Mr. Bink - I added some more griminess to him, hope it's at least a step in the right direction.

Beastie - Shrunk the jaw a bit more, I see what you're saying...while giving him a lantern jaw I might've inadvertently stuck a lighthouse in there :P

Nice work dude! I thik he fits totally in with the 40k look with the massive jaw. Cos Orcs dont care if it aint functional, just bung it on as a stop gap and get to love soup!! A great finish man, oh and if you wanted to see my guy, heres a quick link http://home.austarnet.com.au/esjakku/3orcy.jpg I'm afraid it has little comparison now (basically his only accessory is pants! ) when yours has all the cool details and massive power fist/claw/shredder! So its not that exciting. Oh yeah loved you Thulsa doom! gotta love the conan action!

Cheers Man
