CGTalk - Video layering?

Does anybody know a free program that allows me to laer meshes+ CG animations on top of real video (or vice versa)? Kinda like bluesscreen without the bluescreen... a free program, by the way. Doesnt have to be really high quality, just gets the job done.

Any free 3D software should allow you to apply a video clip to a 3D objects texture.

Then you could probably tell it to use a specific color as an ALPHA, but then I don't think you will have much control over the color area and edges.

most of the major packages have free trial version or a limited game version which might work

I know that there is a Chroma material for 3ds MAX
