hi friends!
I found when I am using maya, it always crash for some reasons~ and as well as my colleagues, I am okay whith it caz I generally save file quite frenquently~ but others are all max user~ and dont really have this habit!!

caz in max, there is function could automaticly save in each 10 minutes~
I wonder is there any simlar script or function in maya as well? we already lost 10 hours work:(

doesn't maya autosave on crash? For me, it allways saves it in Documments And Settings/user_name/local settings/temp, on windowze. Be sure you enable Show Hidden.

I tried to find it, but there isnt any mb file nor any files looks like catch files~ but there are lots floders, called maya balhbalh something~ unfortunately its all empty!!
can someone tell me y!?

Yes you can find such as autosave scripts on highend3d.com

Maya saves on crash (and maybe while you are working) .ma (ascii editable maya scene file) in the temp dir of your system. In Windows, the temp folder is located in hidden folders (under something like Local Settings ~~~~). You'll find here date named .ma files.

thank you, I eventually found some scripts on highend, it's working well~ it's called IGotYourBack.mel , pretty cool~~
