All i can say is, thats bloody amazing, the textures and shapes of the rocks adds a little hint of a fantasy realm, really beautiful and simple, in a crazily complex and detailed way. :D

As a whole, I find the piece to be pretty nice. Here are some criticisms I have:

You say "i guess we are not only life form in the universe. so i draw a huge space craft appear in the cloud." Well, that may be so, but where is this space ship hovering? It's not earth. I can tell because last I checked earth doesn't have floating rock soft-serve. :D For all we know it could be the home planet of the space ship. This destroys the anticipation of human/alien contact.
All the light from the ship is blue. Is there not a single source of light in the ship that emits a different wavelength of light?
It's too much like Independence Day. The central energy core thing: does a big weapon lay in wait there? I'll bet there is! Who would have guessed!
The title "Unpredictable Contact" is perfect. It's perfect because I can't really tell if this thing is moving. The clouds are awesome, but I can't tell if they are being pushed away by the ship. Maybe I don't have the imagination to see it? Anyways, if the thing isn't moving, it definitely won't make contact with anything, making any contact highly unpredictable. However, as you say, it "appears" in the sky, indicating motion. But I think an object this large would have to displace quite a bit of air as it moves, which would make the clouds whisp around it and lose there fluffy nature.
Is there any terrain?
How about some lifeforms or other signs of life to accompany the ship or the planet?
That's all. :applause:

REFRESHING! My sincere congrats!!!

You see ... there might be place for critisizm here but I think we are dealing with true talent here. I don't know if you took part in the Grand Space Opera chellenge, but friend, I am going to be honest with you: If you added a small battle beneath this scene and a litlle bit more dynamism to the ship and clouds I swear you would have won the Grand Space Opera challenge. Maybe I did not follow the challenge very closely but from what I saw there... you could have kicked everybodies ass there! I truly admire what you did here. Keep it up!

WoW man , after you shucked me with an amazing work of art out there, and dazzled with the over whelming credit you had ( and you really deserve it indeed) , I took a break and tried to study it; to learn from it and I get my self in the following argument I hope you will have the good heart to hear it out:

the space ship appears it's like reducing speeds in shuck and fears in back motion due to the new environment found it self in (which serve the idea of contact )
But the clouds surroundings the ship is organized specially the parts close to its body in a way it gave me the feeling these are flamey clouds getting out of a burning ship.
I liked the blue color you chose for the ship interspaces because it gave me the feeling that it's coming from a different source of life in there but one in there culture.
I hade the feeling from the ship structure that it's falling apart thanks to the very fare parts of the ship or it's like a war gun space ship machine designed after a sea creature
I agree that the space ship is not contacting earth but again I felt from the back scene of the rock that they are not all floating but organized in a certain pattern
then I forced my self to stop viewing that work of art because I believe that it wont be art if we did not have that strange feeling in front it.

Vastly amazing...

I like how you don't see the terrain, but it is definitly hinted at with the rock columns. You can just feel where the terrain is without the artist having to worry about actually doing a terrain that could possibly disrupt the image as a whole.
The attention to detail is amazing as well, I can see the clouds stretching as if the object moved through them, and is being led out of the massive clouds as if it had just left a huge warzone and that is the fog of war left behind. It also appears to be tilted at a slight angle, perhaps an illusion further adding to the idea that it's moving out of the clouds.
It also looks very evil, my first idea was that it was similar to a collosial spider and we're it's prey.
The rock formations are amazing too, I never seen a rock that looks the way you portray them, but they still look amazing.
I did have a "Independence Day" thought at first, but it is definitly not. Different location and style. Great job!

Quite aside from the breath-taking deployment of technical skill, this work has all the qualities of a great painting.

The subject matter and layout reminds me of those fantastic Chris Foss science fiction book covers in the 1970's but the quality of light and the detail is more akin to those dramatic and hyper-realistic paintings of heavy weathered landscapes, so popular in the 1890's.

In fact there is even something of the Turner about this work: I cannot give greater praise

What i like most about your piece is that I feel confused and disorientated when looking at it. It's not that the narrative behind what you have created is confusing or misleading... It's more a case of the actual piece is provoking a similar sense in me, to one of actually witnessing something like this tragedy happening.

You've captured the sense of drama... the sense of silent stress-induced-perception, I feel a person gets when in an extremely traumatic situation. In this, you have created a 'sensation' piece.

I remember a friend pulling a gun out in front of me and explaining to me why he had it... I remember falling from a height and saving myself at the last minute with a stray hand... I remember seeing a child get hit by a car... and of course the TV scenes of NY(sept-11) and the Tsurani in Asia at X-mas... Don't get me wrong, I don't feel the same sorrow or trauma over your piece... just that initial uncanny, empty feeling.

I'm not explaining myself at all eloquently at the moment.

Great work... I know that undoubtedly as does everyone... you will produce pieces in the future that (to you) are technically more profficient than this one... I just got something out of this rendering, that is often alien to this type of 'still' work. :)

Stunningly beautiful. I've always had a thing for rays of light contrasting against a gray sky. Very well done.

This is a beautiful scene in any way. But I especially like the realistic lighting and the deep volumetric look of the clouds.

Wow! how do you make this master piece. The lights, the dust, all is just perfect.

Congratulations, and all my respect.

It's great. What i don't like are the small helix rock at the bottoms, they disturb the composition a bit and look poor. The other thing i don't like is that you didn't post a higher resolution version for me to use :)
