I've been working on project but i need to render and object transparently in MAYA so i can bring it into photoshop. Anyone please help me.

You can adjust transparency levels in the attribute editor of the shader material.

I think what LAnge_ENgal wants is the alpha channel in his images. Read about them in PS/Maya manuals, and you'll get what you want.

Basically, you need to render out 32bit Targas or any such format which supports an alpha channel.

The default render settings produce alpha channel. Just render it without anything behind the transparent object and open the file in a Photoshop layer, then use the alpha channel to produce a selection and delete the background to reveal the transparency.
