Hey there, im a n00b mple user and im starting to get the hang of maya =). But now im wondering whats the best way to make realistic clours in maya.
Ive tryed envSky, but it looks kind of flat. But its good in pictures. But now im going to do moving clouds in a storm, what do u recomend me to do?

I think that tutorial is very limited, the way is go to Dynamics with particles.
The cloud texture is a little tricky to set but you should take a look, or go with Sprite particles....

Is painteffects included in PLE? If so there are a few pretty good clouds available there.

Well i've tryed the paintfx clouds, but they looks very wierd in the movie i did, when they are moving the shadows seams to go nuts =/

for animating clouds, use particles and chenge the particle type to cloud (s/w). then use the the particle shader to colour you clouds.

maybe check this out and i suggest play a little with the dynamics to achieve the desired results
