Simple Question, I'm Sure...

not really a paint brush tool but sort of.
Depending on wether or not you are using nurbs or polygons
you could make a canyon with this ...it's really good for adding subtle detail to you models.

FOR nurbs go to - Edit Nurbs ---> Sculpt Surface tool --go to options


For Poly's go to - Edit Polygons ---> sculpt polygone tool -- options.
