You probably hit Ctrl + H on your keyboard. This is the shortcut to show/hide these little aids (slices, grid, etc.). Freaked me out the first time I found it too. Especially since I was working on a web image that already had several slices on it.

Me too, I just figured out how to get rid of it a week ago after having 7 for the past 3 months:applause:
Curious, your talking about slices, do you use ImageReady or just P7?

Yeah, I always port the image over to Image Ready when I'm going to post it to the internet. I noticed that it compresses files better than using the Photoshop "save for web ..." function. The slice, roll-over and animate functions are pretty useful too. :D

I have noticed a compression reduction of about 15-20% better than Photo, your right about that. I have recently been saving more files in the PNG format since I found out almost all recent updated browsers can finally recognize it and it sports an alpha channel. Haven't used slices though.
