There are a wide variety of apps that can do this. Compressor, Media Cleaner, Premiere, etc... It depends on your specific needs.

my needs is MPEG-2 1920x1080 38mb/s 10-15min clip... premiere cant do it...

You could use Quicktime Pro to import the image sequence and output to MPEG 2. That would be the cheapest way I think.

I found Expert-HD (www.pixeltools.com) seems to have very nice encoding, and have all my needs :)

Yeah, quicktime pro has the best compressor I've seen for virtually any format. Buckle down, pay the $30 and enjoy the benefits. I got my reel down from 80MB to 3MB on the first try, it's awesome.

tmpegenc is probably the fastest mpeg encoder I've seen and it's free for doing mpeg 1. Mpeg 2 is around $37 from here - http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/shopping/index.html#download - it's really fully featured and takes a huge amount of input formats. I've used it a few years now and it's always good.
