View Full Version : BAke Textures
YellYellYell 09-19-2002, 09:47 AM Hello,
I'm new here and I wish to greet you all.
I have to create a modell for a CAVE in an virtual Reality Environment.
How can I bake my rendered Textures with shadows, lightnings, reflections an stuff like that ?
I've already tested it but I thing the only way to do this ist to use a spotlight. With this light its only possible to bake the lightcon itself. Is this right.
Pleace help me
Greetings from Germany

There's a tut on the alias|wavefront website for doing this (and in the online docs I do belive). Only did itonce so I don't remember the details, but it's a poly command and works very well.

Greetings to you in Bonn.!!!!
Well thereīs an easy way to do what want!!!
Just go into the hypershader. Select your object an your shader
( I cant remember which has to be selected first!! ) Go into Edit
and chose Convert to texturefile....And thats it!!! I know itīll bake
bumbs, shadows etc.!!!!!
Good luck

Thanx, but I've already tested it, and I think it works only with one type of lights and it displays only the lightcone.
Is this right ?

Hmmmm. sounds strange...
Iīve just finished a modeling and a texturingjob where I used this feature.....I`m pretty sure
that you can bake bumb and shadows this way with all the
types of light....
TRy some more!!!!
