What's your favorite distributed rendering software/cue renders? I tried renderpal and it works great, but before I buy it, do you recommend I take a look at other software?
To work with Maya 6.5, only one dual machine.
Since my machine has 2 processors, I d'like to use one cpu to render while I use the other to model, texture, ect.

And at night, I want to use both of them to render. Renderpal seens to work fine.
If no one here complain about it or have other better idea to buy another software, I'' buy it.

I found DrQueue in highend3d, but it looks like a littel difficult to setup, although it's free.

Any opinion, please?

Just set your render threads to the appropriate value and save yourself some cash.

where do you adjust the renderthreads?
And honestly, i doubt buying somethins as expensive as renderman just to get a threadcontroll like that is necessary :P

Do you mean, just open Maya, open a scene, bacth render it with 1 cpu and open another Maya to model, texture, etc?

I need to learn more about renderpasses in Maya, because I save many scenes with different objects to render. Maya crash when I have many renderpasses to render.

I thought to buy a render queue soft to make many scene tests and batch render all of them at night or weekend.

Anyways, thank you for your reply.
