CGTalk - Need some help

Started this painting just out of pure boredom, spent about 5-10 minutes on it. I like where its going, but it needs a lot more. I am somewhat new to just painting to paint in photoshop, would appreciate any suggestions on techniques and/or anything.

I like the blood on the wall concept. It will be better if you took reference of mask. And if you make it realistic look. I think the overall is nice, Can't wait to see the final result.

thanks darevan, I'll try to work on it some more tommorrow at work while i should be doing other things. Thanks for the tips, will update when there is something with which to update.

put in some more work on the wall and a little on the sky, kind of stuck right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated if anyone actually looks at this thread.
