Hello,

I really need some help with this problem. I've never had this issue before. I created an animation and tried to batch render the file. But i get the following error.

Error: Cannot find available port.

i research on the maya help document. says that i need administrative rights. But i'm the only one using the computer and have the administrative right. What's WRONG? Can anyone help me out please. Thank You.

If you have any firewall software such as windows firewall you need to turn it off or allow maya to use the internet by specifying that in your firewall software.

I You have a ZoneAlarm Software then You might have another issue (apart the one You already have) namely batchrender won't work, both native maya renderer & mental ray but this thing is big issue for mental especially. I found that 3dsMax 6 & 7 (and probably other with mr plug) won't lunch at all (will hung when loading mr plug). solution is here :
