View Full Version : Medical Illustration: Breast (naked)

I've been asked to portray a healthy breast with normal skin tones. I feel like I'm almost there - any suggestions would be much appreciated. I've been asked to submit the image on a white background so that's out of my hands. It's done in photoshop, not sure how long as I was using the airbrush tool for the first time too, but a couple of hours for sure... (Multiple refs used :) )

Quite ok, but I feel that the shadow on the left side wouldn't be that pronounced when the arm is up like that. Of course it depends on the lighting (and the breast), but a firm breast like that would be more, er, connected to the rest of the chest on that side.

This might result from the shadow that's bothering me, but the nipple is also a bit too up. Are you sure your reference images are, you know, home grown?

hmmm I don't know if its just me but...it looks like an old womans breast ,not a "healthy" breast........
