im trying to get my custom equilizer to be just one color. however, i keep getting getting these artifacts of black that i cant touch. i've tryed importing the map painted all white but it still doesnt work. if anyone knows why or how to fix this problem i'd really appriciate your input. or if you think you know please give me a suggestion.

The only thing I can think of is to check your UV layout for intersecting polygons. I assume that you have tried flooding the map with white.

well iv'e figured it out so i might as well share the answer with you incase anyone runs into a similar problem. the problem has to do with the UVs. If 2-4 of the edges connected to a UV is in two different spots (not merged with its counterpart) than u get those areas of blackness.


do to this problem it makes it hard to get rid of all the black, so to save myself the pain of fixing uvs and than having them pop up again somewhere else, or spread, im just going to use nurbs underneath my polys and have the fur protrude out. if you have an idea or comment to post feel free.
