Not much to say about this. I´ve used a photo as reference. It´s not finished yet, I´ll come back to this piece later, with fresh eyes.

You can guess who it is?

Started in OpenCanvas 1.1 and then brought it to Photoshop7.

Are you using a photo-reference? I guess so if its s'posed to be some celebrity. Can't name her tho ...
But really great work, I would not so all too much about her face anymore and get to the background, it has already a great feeling to it. Keep it up :)

Thx for your comment krl. Yes I use a celebrity for photo reference, I put it next to my canvas when painting.

I´m not sure about adding a background.. I want to focus on the girl first, thats what I want to practise.
I´ve never taken any drawing/painting class, doing this just for fun and try to improve my skills. I think this will strengthen my skills in 3d Modelling/Sculpting/Rendering, too.. hope so at least ;).

So what I want is hard critique , I appreciate any comments.

thx

Is it, Christina Aguilera (spelling)?

Heres sum crits:

1. have more variotion with the contrast (darker shadows and lights) cuase right now its flat
2. Some parts need smoothing, for example her chin and hair

keep workin on it :)

You got it ;) .. yes it´s Christina Aguilera .. so at least there seems to be some likeness :)

I agree about the flat look and always have the problem that my 2d renderings doesnt have a lot of depth.

I´ll try to improve this.
