I really need help on animating a player-model.

I'm a totally newb, sorry.
Started animating with millkshape a few weeks ago, but I think Max is much better.

hello,

to create bones you have to click the two engine wheels button on the command panel then youīll find the bones button,

to create them just do a first click where do you want the bone begins and then click again where do you want the bone ends. go ahead until you get you desired bone chain.

to attach objects to the bones you can use the skin modifier, select the object(s) and look out in the modifier list > animation modifiers > skin modifier, then in the parameters rollout click the button ADD and select the bones you want to be atached to that object(s).

of course you have to edit envelopes now, for the envelopes and more detailed info about using bones (because it isnīt so easy jeje ) you can press F1 and use the userīs reference.

hope this can be useful as a shorcut to bones learning jeje
