gorgnut - sure, you can submit (almost) anything.
negator - Great water, shipmodel and lights are awesome. Perfect
Kvaalen - nice joke in comic-style
Angryscientist - this one has a bit of a crayon feeling but why using three programs?

AtmaWeapon: those ships look way better than any i can draw; perhaps adding more color variation (especially more blue from the sky reflected on the water) would enhance it further

As always everyone is making a great job!

Vitriolic: His smile is really something, no offence, but the concept looks a bit sadic, 2 wooden legs and 2 hook hands...it mst be really hard to live that way.
SalamanderCoral: very humoristic :).
DreamMaster: that pirate really does look like M Jackson, but also reminds me of captain hook.
crazy3dman: This is so cute...and brings back memories.
negator, Supervlieg, Zebula: The word is awsome.

Here's my Pirate, took around 3 hours to do :banghead: (fast....:X). Lineart on paper, color open canvas, clouds photoshop. It's horrible, but practice is always good. :)

How fitting...I'm currently making some muscle studies based on loosely observating muscles and even more loosely sketching them with my Photoshop-pencil-brushes...totally fun. I once did a scan session of one of my pencil sketches and made some brushes out of the textures...so much fun, really...I think I mentioned that before already....however, it's really not the greatest sketch, but a fun one...

Hi!
nice sketches around, voting this one will be a very difficult task.

JVaughan, love your avatar and your sketch . How much time did you spend on it?

wats up guys!
been busy lately.
glad to join this thread :D:D very inspiring work!

i chose to approach this in a different manner then most here. instead of going the traditional 'pirate' way, i went futuristic with these pirate ships. the city is starboard because of all the planets. its being attacked and the ships, again, are pirates :P

1 hour in photoshop cs. of course its a concept ;).
be careful, im still green... hehe.
