Hello.

Can somebody able to help me. I em biginner with Maya. I have som question:

1)Can I to pose object toward second object. Example, if I create sphere, move with local X, then rotate with Z, then create box. Can I align box with sphere in such way to alig with rotation the same way as with position? Or I must be hand copy position
rotation of sphere, then paste to box for every axis separate?

2)Can the poligons object use the same way Surface>Planar comand with Edge selected as the NURBS object with Isoprams selected?

3)I have Shader Library instaled with Maya. All shaders is displayed like icon with image of shader. When I put mine shader in the Library they have only icon Maya. If I put some image, Maya displays Maya icon and image. How to display only icon shader with image of shader.

4)NURBS problem.
When I duplicate some NURBS objects, move some vertex and then attempt to union them. Maya displays the message: "explodeNurbsShell1 (Explode Nurbs Shell): Not a valid NURBS Shell." Or some the objects disappear from the scenes.
Is problem in the softwer or I mus create object from NURBS primitive from beginning.

I think this is no big question. :)

it's a bit difficult to understand but, here we go:

you can align under the menu Modify > Align ....
or
(if i understand right) you can parent the box to the sphere
or group them to animate etc.

no the workflow is different, you can use the append poligon tool, or fill hole, or merge edges... take a look at the manual ;D
