Hmmm.... Looks Good but glass is tricky
im a Lightwaver and dont know Max yet but try and tweak the Gloss down a Tad on the stem and bump up the Specularity up on the top of the glass... nto sure if that will help but i feel it would but then again im no expert :)

Thank you, the problem is, I don't know how to bump up the specularity in a Vray material.
So that's a problem. I'll check it out and post a new render though.

hello
not too bad for your first project, indeed pretty good
but you should improve the top of the glass, maybe make it thinner
and there is that strange bump in the liquid
make it flat and everything will look much better!
and after that make something else than that ugly grey underground plz :)

That's the problem, see, the top of the liquid IS flat. It's done with the regular method: selecting the polygons, cloning it and then capping flipping the normals and then capping the border it creates.
Strangely enough it creates this strange squarish thingie in the right half of the glass, just above the liquid.
Any suggestions to fixing this? Thanks already:bounce: !!!

sorry
i dont know max, but try to remove doubles, than check if there are unnecassary edges and then recalculate the normals
if that doesnt help, just remodell it
wouldnt be too much work i think :)
