The Dregs of War: Gonna Sell an Isabella

Working title... anyway, here's the first page:

http://www.mbeeson.co.uk/images/comic/page01.jpg

you can read the next three pages on my site (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk)...

theoretically, the remaining twelve pages will be done in about ten days, because that's the project deadline. I'm bored of colouring in pictures, hence this post.

Will do more tomorrow...

oh the pain...

WARNING: Just thought you should know... some of the pages contain contain occasional buttocks... you have been warned.

nice job Awoogamuffin? i read the rest on your web page too :)
the only critics i can give to you is dont use too much gradients , the line art is kind too thick and i also noticed some perspective errors
you may also want to do some nice transictions between the strips
these critics are just on a pesonal note you may as well live it as it is if that's the style you 're after :)

now make more i want to know what happens to that girl and the gang
and why isnt she wearing panties :)

good job:) i read your site also, and i agree with magnetos on the fact that the lines are too thick, other than that....maybe its a thong?

Ok, I've uploaded the next two pages...

Yeah, the lines are too thick. *sigh*... next time I'll know better.

Also, about the gradients... well, the world this strip is set in is a subterranean/nocturnal world, so light and shadow are important. Unfortunately, because I haven't got much time to complete this, I can't do sophisticated shadows and things. The gradients are just a quick and cheap way of trying to get the feel across. Though I admit it's a bit naff... oh well.

Oh, and there's no thong. It's buttocks all the way!

hmm... no one interested?

It seems I started just too early to take part in this comic book thing that's going on. Is it too late for me to join? Well actually, I started work on this before the competition started, so that's me disqualified... *sigh*

Anyway, I've uploaded the next two pages, including the dreaded page eight, the flag ship of the comic book, or flag page, if you wish. I decided to go all adventerous in the colouring and use manly colours like purple and pink. Here it is, if you're interested:

I doubt that an early start means you're disqualified from participating. Only thing I can see as an issue is your thread title isn't in the format Roberto Ortiz specified, but a moderator can probably fix that for you if you PM them.

I like what you've got so far and your layouts are quite good -- each panel is full and interesting to look at. Perspective in your first page panels made me a bit dizzy, but it seems that it's been intentionally skewed given the fragmented gravity. I'm interested to see the boss develop as a character and to find out why a father would give his underwear-less daughter to a group of mercenaries. :) Boss and daughter seem to have a Han Solo-Princess Leia hatred for each other so far.

Ok, bumper harvest this evening.

I've uploaded three more pages. I've already done pages 15 and 16, so I only have three pages left to do. Chances are, this comic book will be completed tomorrow evening.

It would be kinda dishonest for me to try and join this comic strip competition anyway, because I'm actually doing this strip for my studies... anyway, tell me what you think!

It's finished!

Wahooo! A week of my life devoted to colouring in pictures, but finally it's over! Yes!

Anyway, you can read it here (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk/comic1.htm).

I'll just do a title page and stick it in the completed work section...

Tell me what you think!
