Title: Church Interior
Name: Jesse Sandifer
Country: United States
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

I wanted to create a sense of atmosphere and depth in an architectural space. I was going for something with some grit but at the same time evoked some emotion. See the high res image for the full experience.

Of course, comments/crits are always welcome.

Nice image , I liked the colored glass and wood and the lights ofcourse.
You can optionally add a faint purple tone to the scattered light on the top, to suggest a filtered effect. But its still nice without that.

Nice composition. The pipe organ is massive! Lots of pipes to model! I think you nailed the wood texture. The pipe texture seems off like it is too bright, clean, and uniform. I think there should be more shadows where the light doesn't directly hit - light below the window. The wall texture looks too repetitive and kind of bumpy.

Great comments you guys. I agree about the pipe texture....always good to have a different eye on the image!

The wall texture turned out a bit more bumpy than I wanted it to, but I'd rather have the texture show up than be flat. This is an exisitng church also, so I had to match the look of the walls there and it's pretty much repetitive and bumpy. :)

The pipe modeling was not so fun, but I think it adds something to the image.

Thanks for your crits!
