visible action/render/title safe in render & preview ?

Hi everyone !

it seems impossible to render or preview safe frames .. there is just a trick with square spline in a sweep nurbs child of the camera .. but this is not so convenient ..

did i miss something ? if not this will be a usefull addition ( at least for me )

in the same sort of idea it will be nice to have the possibility to set the visibility of the hud in the preview .. especially frame count ..

The only quick and accurat way of making it is by using plugins.
Either (as I did earlier) a part of 10comm where you project a polysquare in front of the Camera, extrude and delete the original poly. Placed as a child under the cam it makes a cutout corresponding to the rendersettings.

Or as I do now, using a part of Samir's RulerTools plugin called SafeFrame that works interactively. A really must have and a great bonus to the Ruler to the extent that it is almost the only thing I use for :)

no worries :) .. i just wanted to make sure i didnt miss the trick before sending it to Maxon.

( to all of you : if you think this is a needed complement suggest it to maxon too .. the more we are the greater the chances to have it are(not sure about my english in this sentence:shrug: ))
