View Full Version : Quick Question
Norman 09-17-2002, 11:05 PM I know I'm gonna get ALOT of flack for this, , but gotta a question..
I guess I'm just curious.. I've been playing around with Rhino for a while and I like it alot.. but what's the difference say between Rhino and Blender.
Sure rhino is more robust for modelling (Nurbs) but is blender going to be coming onto the scene hard?
I'm just curious if I should direct my energy toward blender or rhino?
Thanks all

well the big difference is price. i am not too familiar with rhino(never used it) and only used blender a few times. i guess you have a demo of rhino, since if you spent the $$$ you would not consider blender. i would recomend that you continue trying demos and find what you like.

Rabid,
Thanks for the response.. yeah I've got some money saved up.. and was wondering what to go with.. I've played with Max and Lightwave.. LOVE Rhino as a modeller.. played around with blender for a few hours today.. so I was just curious of the opnions of people around here..
:)
Thanks friend.
And you have to remember that Blender uses polygons, and Rhino NURBS. These two are completely different to work with, and you have to think all differently when modeling in NURBS than in polygons for an example. Ofcourse if you already love Rhino, then it must be ok :)
But you should remember this.
