View Full Version : Wrap Deformer Problem

I am using wrap deformer to attach hair to a base head...I have blendshapes feeding into the base head.
It has been working fine except for when I use long hair or long braids.
Then the wrap deformer does not work on the vertices far away from the base head and actually 'crumples' some of the verts during some of the blend shapes....

Anyone know how to control the fall off of the wrap deformer so that the hair close to tghe skull is affected and not the extremities????

chack out the options/attrs on the wrap node..
max distance is probably all you need to change

you can also use the Edit Membership Tool to exclude verts that you don't want the wrap deformer to deform (Deform > Edit Membership Tool).

Thanks all...

I used the edit membership and that worked like a charm...

As far as distance on the node how do I accesss that?...I tried the options under wrap and that made no difference...

somewhere in the wilds of Glendale(where finally it is not raining)
