MEGALO 09-17-2002, 06:21 PM Im new to max, & very new to shag. Ive mastered shag fur but I cant seem to even get one strand of hair to render with shag hair.
Ive got the shag renderer,
Ive got a spline for a model hair,
Whenever I try to select a model hair, It wont let me select anything!
What am I doing wrong?:D

Thanks for the reply Reality3D. When I try to select a model hair,
either by the "select" or "pick" button, there is never anything selected.
The box that pops up after i press the "select" button is empty.
I dont understand. Fur works fine!

If I remember the documentation includes a "quick startup" guide that gets you up and running, and explains this process.
You have to setup the spline as a model hair before you try pick it from your environment rollout. Select the spline, go to modifiers panel, scroll down and select "model hair". Now that you have setup the spline, go back to the environment dialog, and you should be able to pick it now.....
