View Full Version : Skybox setup in Maya: how to?

hiya.

I need to setup some cameras to be able to render out a series of skybox images, and I'm having a little trouble. I tried similar setups in Lightwave and Maya : 90degree FOV, six cameras pointing in all six directions. It works fine in Lightwave, but I would vastly prefer doing my scenes in Maya.

No luck, though, so I'm assuming that I've set up my cameras wrong in Maya. can anyone point me in the right direction (or if you're feeling overly generous and helpful, possibly provide a Maya scene file with a correctly set up camera?) :)

Maybe that's what you're looking for..

If you are rendering in MRforMaya, you can use my cubemap_lens shader:
