hi there,
in the moment i'm working on a guitar. now i needed to planar a curve.
i made this curve with 'create cv curve' and closed it afterwards. no big deal so far, but when i try to planar it i get an error and the script editor says something like:

planarSrf -ch 1 -d 3 -ko 0 -tol 0.01 -rn 0 -po 0 "curve14";
// Error: planarTrimSurface4 (Planar Trim Surface Node): failed to compute the result. //

// Warning: You have an empty result since history is on. You may want to undo the last command. //

// Result: planarTrimmedSurface4 planarTrimSurface4 //

// Error: planarTrimSurface4 (Planar Trim Surface Node): failed to compute the result. //

What's the deal with this? I already tried to delete history, but it doesn't change anything.

thx for help,
Alex

it's probably just a sign from god that you should never use planar's, trims or fillets.

does it show up as a closed curve or periodic

are any cvs on top of an other one

are all the cvs on the same plane

does any of the curve overlap itself

is the scale really small

i'd take a quick look and see if any of these issues affect it.

thank you very much, you where right on one point. some of my cv's appeared to be a little bt higher or lower in y direction, now it works!

thx again,
Alex
