Arrh, more overbright washed out reflections!

What is it that causes max to make reflected items really bright (overexposed), in many scenes. I've tried flatmirror and raytraced reflections and get the same results.

In some scenes it happens and others it doesnt. On a 100% reflection flat mirror coloured objects reflect as completely white and thats not right.

How does one cure such irritatingness???:wavey:

Reflections are additive, that means that a reflection is sort of laid 'on top' of the rest of the materials color.

When a material has a 100% reflection, it will should have a black color (=diffuse). The color and the reflectivity should complement eachother. That way, a reflection can never be washed out as in your picture.
