Heya guys.

I made this model for a production that fell through. I've donated the balloon to some guys to use in their project. But I really wanted a small animation of it for my showreel.

Here's the 3mb quicktime animation: http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/misc/balloon2.mov

Made entirely with Blender... the clouds were rendered sepparate and the balloon was done with an alpha channel so that I could layer it in post production.

would love some opinions. ;)

Well, you already know what I think of it, but once again, that's AWESOME! I love the different colored lighting, and obviously the modeling is awe inspiring
... and all done in Blender, too!

We've put a couple shots in the movie soley to showcase this amazing model.

Thanks again! Great job! You're an inspiration! :)

First when i saw the picture, i imagined that the camera would mostly stay in the same angle as it is in the picture.
I think it would be better with a very small camera movement, and seein the baloon going very slowly and close, so it looks bigger
And you must have noticed the clouds changing very fast, with slow camera movement i guess it wouldnt do it!

Maybe some other guy's advice would be cool, cause im not a camera expert, but im sure you can improve this just with a slower and more steady camera :) Im sure you can do something bout those clouds too but maybe you dont want to spend to much time on it..

But the modeling is very good, i also like the textures on it and the overall rendering!
