We are seeking a Designer/Scripter to work at a large gaming company in San Diego, CA.

Job Description:
Creative, yet technically oriented game designer whose primary responsibility will be to implement level designs using our proprietary toolset and LUA, a powerful light-weight programming language.
Lua scripting experience preferred. If no Lua experience, must have experience with any of the following C/C++, Perl, Python or similar scripting language.

Responsibilities:
· Place, trigger, and tune world entities in order to create engaging gameplay dynamics that are easy, simple, and fun.
· Define low-level AI behavior using LUA driven visual finite state machines.
· Implement, test, and tune dialogue scripts according to story design requirements.
· Collaborate with the Design team to create and refine gameplay mechanics.

Other Skills:
· C++ / Perl
· Passion for gaming.
· Experience with game/world editors and tools.
· Microsoft Office, including Visio.
· Excellent written and verbal communicator.
· Ability to work within a team environment.
· Quick adaptation to new tools and technology.
