Just a quick question for whom ever wishes to answer..
I have a character that i modeled and i wanted to add things to him like a bulletproof vest, armored forearm guards, etc.. Should i go about doing this in the same manner as the clothing tutorial that Proton posted, or is there another way that i should consider.. The reason why i ask this is because it seems that the tutorial is for soft clothing, and not for hard material like armor.. I may be wrong though..

here is the character.

From what little experience I have with all of this for armor you might consider modeling it into your .model.

Oh by the way, cool looking model!

I was actually thinking about doing it that way then just texturing it.. I didn't know if there was any down side to doing it like that or not... Since i could possibly make one of the characters where armor at all times...? idunno.. Thanks for the compliment..

Mr runner has the parts that are bone deformed in a single mesh, the rest is in seperate object files and is just parented onto the bones.

Hey thanks Mike..I'm trying to figure this stuff out.. I have been concentrating on modeling heads, and such that i never took time to think about accessories... I will try it a couple of ways and post back..:buttrock:
