There are a couple of issues that have come up with a handful of Maestro customers that I wanted to cover here.

1. If you rig a character, and it ends up looking like a pretzel, make sure that "Parent in Place" is on. Also, double check that Auto Key Create (right above Parent in Place) is not set to "none", and "Auto Key" is on in your layout interface.

2. There's a crashing problem if your character's name is too long. The limit is somewhere over 20 characters. This is actually a lightwave bug, not a Maestro problem. Attempting to import an expression library with too long an expression crashes lightwave.

We've addressed both issues. For number one, we've created a command so the rigger turns on Parent in Place and Auto Key if they are off. For number two, we've put a flag in the rigging process so that if your character name is too long, it will stop with a warning message. We can't overcome the name length limitation, as this is a Lightwave problem, but at least we can circumvent a crash.

We plan to release an update with these fixes within a week or so, but for now, they are at least easy to work with if you know about them.

I hope this helps anyone who has purchased Maestro. It is very important to us to provide the best support possible, and make our product a joy to work with.

Eric
