Hey! first time here and i feel like I suck at this because everyone here is so amazing at what they do! But plz tell me what ya think. it was done in 3D studio max 5 with no speacial rendering or anything just scanline! thnx guys

Hey. Not a bad design.
Did you just get the bumps in the golf ball with bump mapping though? It feels like they don't really have any depth to them, which is most of what's missing in the pic (apart from looking unrealistic, it also makes the Titleist text look like it's just floating over the ball, instead of actually being painted onto the ball).

You should also check into the pattern of the golf ball dimples. Last Pro V1 I played with, it had circular patterns, not hexagonal (the only golf ball that used a hexagonal pattern was the Callaway HEX). There is also a seem along the "< PRO V1 392 >" on most of the older Pro V1 balls.

Nit picking though, looks good beyond those inaccuracies only a hardcore golfer would pick out ;)

Thnx guys! I always appreciate some good ole' CRITs - to answer some of your questions

the dimples are actually there :shrug: guess i should add some more depth to them, Ill get to that :)

Colin Campbell - you wont find a more die hard golfer than me :bounce: Golf is indeed the best sport :wise:
