View Full Version : I need AGP suitable for MAX

I have a request that I am a 3d animator and I use 3d Studio Max and Adobe AfterEffects for my animation projects, so please tell me the cheapest graphic card which can be useful in fast rendering, real time playback and best texture results.

Right now I am using this PC.

MSI K8N Neo Platinum-54G
AMD Athlon 64 bit 3200+
Ram 512
Windows XP Professional (with SP2)

do you have a budget? "Cheap" cards and "best" performance do not run hand-in-hand, so knowing how much you are willing to spend we can recomend something in that price range.

You want to play with 3d Studio and AfterEffects ... nVidia card for sure...

Ok, buy GeForce 5900 XT AGP and mod it to Quadro FX 3000 (with XT clock frequency Your mod will kick the ass). The cost of GeForce 5900 XT would be: 200-250$ depending on vendor and also amount of on-board memory.
