Hello.

I would like to share my project with you :)
This is Honda accord station wagon, modeled in ZModeler. It has 9k+ polygons. Project was for need for speed and mm2. I was playing with 3d max, and got these pics. I am still trying to find the way to make a clean reflective metal texture, hope i will succeed with it soon.

I dont know if you were looking for any help there, but one thing great reflective stuff needs is something to reflect :) For my car I placed giant white rectangles out in space, and didnt let the camera render them except in reflections. In some ways it is effective and in some ways not. Lighting is everything in this kind of situation. What would be more effective would be to actually build a set for your car, like in good car commercials.

My mustang I built using Surface tools (Max Patches) because I felt much more comfortable getting the exact shape I wanted with it, (And I probably still do). I bought a toy model of it to help get it just right. My second model was a Porsche I got reference photos and drawings and I used straight poly modeling to make it.
