I recently built my computer. However once I turn on the comp nothing is showing on the monitor.. :sad: (the monitor is ok)
the specifications:
=> NY nVIDIA Quadro FX1100 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, Dual DVI/OpenGL
=> Mobo: MSI "K8T Master2-FAR" VIA K8T800 Chipset Motherboard for Dual/Single AMD Socket 940 CPU
=> 2 processors: AMD Opteron Model 240, 1MB L2 Cache 64-bit
=> Power suply: ATX - MR500W
Im not sure if the problem is related to power supply. I sent my comp my university's technitians. They couldnt test all the features of the computer. According to them the documentation of the mobo says that I need an SSI compliant power supply which provides an 8pin and 4pin +12 connector as required by the board (instead of the 20 pin connector I have now). In other words I need this: The Antect True 550EPS12V power supply. :shrug:
Does anybody has experienced this problem with the K8T master?? Do I really need this other 24 pin power supply?
